BEHOLD THE KING | DAN LIAN

Mar 29, 2026    Dan Lian

This Palm Sunday message invites us to pause and truly behold our King Jesus, to stare into His face with intentionality and wonder. Drawing from Matthew 21 and the prophecy in Zechariah 9, we explore how Jesus fulfilled ancient promises by entering Jerusalem humbly on a donkey, flipping the script on worldly power through servanthood and sacrifice. The core invitation is simple yet profound: behold. This means hitting the pause button on our busy lives to soak in the awesomeness of what Christ accomplished during Passion Week. We discover three powerful truths as we behold: First, God's love for us is measured out in the distance Jesus traveled from heaven's throne to a dusty cross. Second, a price was paid that we could never afford, our debt of sin cleared by His perfect blood. Third, Jesus made the only way back to the Father, not through our efforts or morality, but through His finished work. This message challenges us to move beyond knowing about God's love to truly believing we are so loved, regardless of our mistakes, shame, or past. As we prepare for Easter, we are reminded that when our hearts overflow with genuine beholding, our invitations to others carry authentic weight and compelling power.
